The Luxury Answer Index

How AI engines describe the luxury industry

The Report · Edition one · Swiss watchmaking

Your house, as four engines describe it.

Roughly, of each house

This is all of them, plus the map of what produced them.

Every measured house receives its private letter without charge. The letter gives the house its position across the five verdicts. The Report gives the complete record behind that position.

Nine buyer questions, each put eleven times, give ninety-nine prompts in every market, on every engine, every day. Four engines, three markets, fifteen consecutive days: 17,820 recorded answers. English throughout. Every answer is read against all forty-six houses.

What the record shows about your house

You are being priced before anyone speaks to you.

Asked whether a house holds its value, the engines answer with a discount and no source behind it. The record holds how often that happened, in which markets, and what the claim appears to rest on.

Another house is being recommended in your place.

When a buyer asks what to consider at your price, the answer arrives carrying names. The record holds which names, how consistently they appeared, and the questions where your house was the one left out.

The machines have decided what kind of house you are.

They place the house at a tier and among a peer group, whether or not either matches what the house built. A maison of high watchmaking filed among accessible Swiss names has a problem no press release reaches.

Every damaging line was assembled from pages that have addresses.

The report traces the sources most likely to have produced it.

For a century the window did the choosing. The machines do it now, and they do it before the buyer has heard the name.

What is in the fourteen pages

  1. I
    Your verdicts, complete

Every one of your recorded answers, sorted by the five verdicts, across all nine questions, four engines and three markets.

  2. II
    Across the window

How the verdicts fell over the fifteen consecutive days of the window, read as a window rather than as a grid of single days.

  3. III
    Engine by engine

Where you are named, where you are absent, and where you are replaced. Four engines, read separately, because they do not agree.

  4. IV
    Market by market

The United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore, read separately, because they do not agree either.

  5. V
    The discount trace

Where an engine steers a buyer away from your retail price, in the words the engine used, with the sources most likely to have produced it.

  6. VI
    Substitution

The houses that arrive in the answer when a buyer asks about yours, in order of how often they appeared.

  7. VII
    The field

Every house the engines named in the answers for your category, and how often, whether or not it was measured.

  8. VIII
    The sources

The publications, marketplaces, references and forums that decided your answers, by name and by address.

  9. IX
    Your baseline

The fixed position that the next edition measures movement against. This exists only if you hold this report.

  10. X
    The reading

Two pages, written by Alexandre Olive, on what the record says and what it does not.

Appendix · Method, verdict rules and intervals, so the house can audit the Index.

What it does not contain

A proposal, a price for work, or a plan to sell the house anything.

A ranking of houses, here or anywhere the Index publishes.

Any influence, in either direction, on how the house is measured.

The Index sells to measured houses, for their own use. A house may share its record with its own advisers under the same terms. The products are not sold to agencies, vendors or intermediaries, and are not licensed for resale or for approaching other houses. The publisher declines requests that fall outside this.

Request any of these with the house's name in the subject line.

What it lets you do on Monday

Brief your digital partner with a list of named sources rather than an instruction to improve.

Decide which market to correct first, on evidence, rather than on the market that shouts loudest internally.

Answer your chairman when he asks what artificial intelligence means for the house, with a number rather than an opinion.

See which of your competitors the engines have already chosen.

A house that takes its record next year will know its position. A house that takes it now will know its direction. That gap cannot be closed later, because the fifteen days of August 2026 will not be run again.
